Biography:

Carole C. PERRY (CCP) is university distinguished professor in bioinorganic and materials chemistry. She performed her UG and PG studies at Oxford University. She has held competitive fellowships at the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University. She has been a visiting professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Karlsruhe, MIT and University of Buffalo. CCP is a leading expert in chemical studies of the (bio)mineralisation of a range of metal oxides including silica and one of very few experimentalists worldwide working on mechanistic aspects of biomolecule-material interactions.
