Biography:

Dr. Laurence Angel obtained his B.Sc. degree from the University of Sussex, Brighton (U.K.). He obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Sussex under the guidance of Prof. Anthony J. Stace.  After postdoctoral work and an Assistant Research Professor position at University of Nevada, Reno with Prof. Kent M. Ervin, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Texas A&MUniversity-Commerce in 2007, where he is a Professor. Funding from the National Science Foundation supports his research of metal binding peptides and their applications as affinity tags and therapeutics.
